QueryFace

This program is able to search for faces from sample images and find images containing the same face(s).

QueryFace is a face search program. An image containing the face to search is taken as an input. A given folder is searched to find other images in the folder that contains the same face(s), For each found image it generates a short description of face(s) on it, a signature from set of features of the faces, their positions etc. The distinguishing features it measures include such items as distance between eyes. The descriptions are then compared to find a match. All images are arranged according to the similarity measure and a list of thumbnail/name pairs are formed as search results. The user is allowed to select one or more found images and cut/copy/paste or delete them. It is also possible to mark some of found images as correctly found.

The application then uses multiple of these correct images to create the query signature and rearrange the list and consequently make a more accurate selection. You could specify which images are to be used in a given image. With the digital camera being everywhere and people generating a whole bunch of photos, it helps if there is a tool that can help arrange things. One nice way would be based on who is into the pictures, and arranging them in independent folders. If you have a similar problem, go ahead and give this tool a try!
